Tim Bramble – Featured speaker

Tim has more than twenty years’ experience developing enterprise solutions addressing software-defined storage, cloud  security,  data encryption, identity and access management, email security and web fraud detection. He is well acquainted with current information security threats and the challenges governments and enterprises face in defending against them.

Tim joined Leonovus in May 2018. Prior to this, Tim oversaw security aspects  of  Dell  EMC’s   hybrid  cloud  offerings,  led  product  management at CloudLink Technologies and managed the development of a number of security solutions at Entrust. Tim holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo.

 


Jason Duncan – Featured speaker

Jason leads BlackBerry’s Cyber Security business in Canada, developing BlackBerry’s emerging Cyber Security Professional Services business. He works closely with BlackBerry’s clients to drive enhanced security and successful project execution using BlackBerry’s Cyber Security Professional services solutions.

Jason brings over 20 years of experience and proven capabilities in IT and Security.  His experience includes focusing on developing and enhancing customers Security solutions through a combination of implementation experience and a strong, successful business development history.

Prior to joining BlackBerry, Jason has held various positions with TELUS, Hitachi and Rogers Communications in a sales and business development capacity.


Will Ehgoetz – Featured speaker

Mr. Ehgoetz has recently joined RiskIQ as a Solution Architect in the Customer Implementation and Technical Adoption team (CITA) and is based near Toronto, Canada. He has over 24 years of experience in Information Technology and related fields, of which 14 years has been working in Information Security. His security experience spans a broad range and includes threat analysis, investigation, threat hunting, vulnerability management and testing, risk management, policy and standards development and operational security. He is also Sgt-at-Arms for his Royal Canadian Legion Colour Party and a member of the Royal Canadian Military Institute.

 


Chris Foster – Featured speaker

As Vice-President, Information Services and Chief Information Officer, Chris Foster is responsible for all Information Services and technology needs across TC Energy, including critical services such as cyber security and digital transformation. Since joining TC Energy in 2016, Mr. Foster has held a number of progressively senior positions in Information Services, including Chief Information Security Officer. Mr. Foster’s previous experience includes 20 years in various IT leadership roles in the oil and gas, telecommunications and education sectors. In that time, he was responsible for IT infrastructure, network, architecture and leading the development of business enablement solutions.Mr. Foster is a volunteer member of the board of the Canadian Cyber Threat Exchange (CCTX), which seeks to promote improved collaboration across Canadian industries to build stronger holistic cyber security defences.Mr. Foster holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne (United Kingdom) as well as post-graduate qualifications in legal practice and information technology.


Bob Gordon – Featured speaker

Robert (Bob) Gordon is the Executive Director of the Canadian Cyber Threat Exchange (CCTX).  Prior to joining the CCTX, Bob held several senior leadership roles in the private and public sectors.  Most recently, Bob was a Director, Global Cyber Security at CGI.  Prior to this, he enjoyed a long and successful career in the Federal Government, which included being the architect of Canada’s first Cyber Security Strategy for which he received the Deputy Minister’s Achievement Award. Bob has had a unique career in several of Canada’s security, intelligence and law enforcement organizations:  Public Safety Canada, Communications Security Establishment, Canadian Security Intelligence Service, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.  He held senior executive positions, including at the Senior Assistant Deputy Minister level.  He was responsible for science and technology, information management/information technology, and internal security programs (personnel, physical and information technology).  Bob has also provided operational leadership in investigating and analyzing the full range of threats to the security of Canada, which included leading the CSIS Counter Terrorism program. Bob is also a member of the Board of Directors for Quantum Safe Canada.

As Chief Security Architect and TELUS Fellow, Marc has responsibilities for security oversight and strategy across all of TELUS’ technologies and portfolios. He represents TELUS on Canadian national infrastructure forums and industry boards with membership in international security forums and vendor advisory boards. Outside of work, he lives in Calgary with his wife and 2 children, skis, bikes and plays in a band.

Hani has focused his career on the creation, management and optimization of Cybersecurity Programs for Financial, Telecommunication, Utilities and Government. Over the past twenty-nine years, Hani’s portfolio of responsibilities includes but is not limited to leading governance, compliance, risk management, architecture and operations. Hani Mansi is the Corporate Information Security Officer for the City of Edmonton.

Michelle Desnoyers originally aspired to be a hotel general manager with hospitality and tourism management as her program of study in university.  Being sometimes beneficially argumentative during her information systems elective class, however, prompted her instructor to unknowingly prophesize in her yearbook ‘Wishing you a great career in IT’.  Upon completion of her program, her first employment opportunity was unexpectedly a ‘temporary’ position in IT.  She then remained with ATCO, and subsequently Wipro, for more than 25 years as she journeyed through the multiple realms of information security and cybersecurity.  Her career has spanned from mainframe access management to managing cybersecurity operations with both local and off-shore team members.  Michelle recently joined Alberta Pensions Services as their Corporate Information Security Officer where she  enjoys sharing her passion for cybersecurity and its capability to facilitate positive change and growth.
